They are now looking and is looking for a fantastic&nbsp;Assistant Site Accountant&nbsp;to join them. You will play a pivotal role in driving ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently for their Manchester site.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul>
<li>Ensure decisions, plans, and strategies are based on strong commercial and financial insights.</li><li>Monitor and report on performance against budgets and forecasts and develop action plans to achieve goals.</li><li>Ensure compliance with statutory and group accounting standards, and address any issues as needed.</li><li>Partner with site cost centre managers, providing support to help manage overheads effectively.</li><li>Manage the site&rsquo;s budget and handle the monthly forecasting process.</li><li>Oversee standard product costing and provide financial guidance for new product development.</li><li>Collaborate with project leads on capital reporting and forecasting needs.</li><li>Analyse site performance on prime costs and overheads and manage period-end reporting.</li><li>Maintain strong financial controls by managing the site asset register, including timely capitalization, disposal, and verification.</li><li>Perform regular balance sheet reconciliation reviews.</li><li>Lead and support the offshore team, offering development training and serving as their main point of contact.</li><li>Report directly to the regional finance manager and leadership team.</li></ul>
<p>&nbsp;</p><p>About You:</p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul>
<li>CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualified, or currently working towards completing the qualification.</li><li>Proficient in Excel and SAP.</li><li>Ability to simplify complex financial analysis, ideally with experience in FMCG or manufacturing.</li><li>Solid costing experience within FMCG/manufacturing environments.</li><li>Background in financial reporting and control from a similar organization.</li><li>Proven experience in delivering accurate and valuable financial analysis, planning, and forecasting.</li><li>Skilled in financial analysis, modelling, and investment appraisal techniques.</li><li>Strong communicator and leader, able to build effective cross-functional relationships.</li><li>Open to challenging existing processes and driving improvements.</li><li>Comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.</li></ul>
